The surrounding canyon
environment inspired this functional artist designed installation.
The seating elements replicating
natural sandstone are made of
reinforced concrete and cedar seating. The shelter design inspired by the
Arts and Crafts Movement includes an oak tree motif style panel.

"Colors of the Canyon"

The artist designed handrail is created of stainless steel and fused glass.
With a length of 72 feet, this is the largest installation for Marsh to date. "The
glass panels depict the colors of the canyon leading to the ocean. This location is the first glimpse visitors get of the ocean and where a transition from
the canyon begins," said the artist.

This 10-foot-high
sculpture depicts
three figures facing
outwards. Created
of bronze, the
figures represent
protection and
strength. "I'm
honored to be selected for such a prestigious location where the Warriors can
guard the entryway to our community,"
said Cheryl.

With the "580 Broadway"
piece, viewers appreciate
a five-window ceramic in a
sunburst motif fitting the Art
Deco theme and character of
the building. Marlo produces
and installs permanent wall
pieces, sculpture, murals and
functional art. He works with
ceramic tile, terrazzo and
stone; shaping, forming and
glazing the clay elements by
hand.
