Beams from the World Trade Center
were donated by the New York and
New Jersey Port Authority. With the
theme of "Remembrance, Reflection
and Respect" this installation is to
remember the tragic events of
September 11, 2001.

This piece was originally installed as a
temporary loan from Miranda Galleries
and in late 2008 was donated to the
City's permanent collection. Nestled on the
spectacular coast overlooking the Pacific
Ocean, Tuan's ultra-romantic sculptural
vision of two lovers find their perfect point
of balance and trust.
