he adds. "We keep it local as much as we can."

distillery blossomed from founder Jeff Quint's support of Iowa as the number one corn-producing

Cedar Ridge. "All walks of life use and enjoy the
trail systems in Iowa: bikers, walkers, runners."
"That brand is kicking off great this year," says
Servey, "and getting a lot of excitement among
the bike communities.
In October 2019, the distillery's flagship Iowa
Straight Bourbon Whiskey re-launched with a new
look and new proof. Servey says, "We're currently
the number three bourbon in the state, trending
to surpass Makers Mark and Jim Beam for the number one spot this year!"
In March, says Servey, "With the COVID-19 crisis, we switched focus from wine and spirits to
supplying our community (and others) with hand
sanitizer."
And this Summer, Cedar Ridge will launch a
new single malt whiskey. "It's a very exciting time
in the American single malt category as the belief
is that it's getting ready to boom (similar to bourbon)," says Servey.
