Russell, Wise counties, VA). You can fish, tube
and kayak. Or simply swim in the Clinch
River. This scenic river can be accessed
by points beginning in Richlands and
spanning to the Tennessee border. Access
points include Dungannon, Fort Blackmore,
Cleveland, Clinchport and near Honaker.
Among the newest developments is a
Richlands access, where you can also
float up to a McDonald's Restaurant. YR.

three watercourses - Pound River, Russell
Fork of the Big Sandy River and the Levisa
Fork of the Big Sandy River - with Levisa
Adventures. This outfitter offers tubing and
kayaking opportunities in Dickenson and
Buchanan counties with a headquarters in
scenic Grundy, the recently redeveloped
courthouse town of Buchanan County.

swimming hole.

and float from Baptism Hole to the banks

High Knob Tower or check out the Flag
Rock Recreation Area with its popular
Woodbooger monument, noting the alleged

National Forest and includes several miles

rugged Buchanan County, blasting across
strip-mine sites and zigzagging around
shaggy trees and big boulders and rock
cliffs that resemble the wild west of Utah.
Hundreds of miles of ATV trails can be
found, as well as a campsite with cabins

; Devil's Bathtub. (Scott County, VA).
Splash in the swimming hole or the actual
Devil's Bathtub of Scott County, located
in the Jefferson National Forest near
Fort Blackmore. The Devil's Bathtub is a
natural waterfall formation that looks like
an old-timey bathtub. It takes a two-mile
hike to reach this now-famous swimming
site, where you'll find far more seclusion
on weekdays than weekends. Wear your
swimsuit but bring hiking boots since
you'll be crossing the rock-clogged
creek more than 10 times to get here. YR.
