A HIGH-PAID ACTOR PURCHASES HIS
FAVORITE CRAFT GIN

"Deadpool" star Ryan Reynolds-the world's
15th-highest-paid actor in 2017-decided he wanted
a piece of Aviation Gin and purchased a stake. "I did
this for one simple reason," Reynolds proclaims. "It's
the best g* * damn gin on the planet."
Based in Portland, Oregon, Aviation Gin was
founded in 2006 by distiller Christian Krogstad and
bartender Ryan Magarian at House Spirits Distillery,
then was acquired by alcohol conglomerate Davos
Brands in 2016.
The American craft gin minimizes the juniper
flavor to highlight other botanicals: elettaria cardamom, lavender, sarsaparilla, coriander, anise seed
and dried sweet orange peel.

A COUNTRY STAR CELEBRATES THE
TASTE OF THE ISLANDS

Kenny Chesney's smooth voice blends with the
melodic picking of a guitar, joined by the haunting
notes of a harmonica: "There's a blue rocking
chair, sittin' in the sand, weathered by the storms
and well-oiled hands. It sways back and forth with

the help of the winds. It seems to always be there
like an old trusted friend." The soothing song
engenders a feeling of peace, like sitting on a
beach reflecting on life, ocean breezes ruffling
your hair and a strong rum cocktail in hand.
The idea for Chesney's spirit and the business
arose one tropical day, New Year's Day 2001, when
he was sitting on his boat in the islands. "If I could
bottle all this up," he recalls thinking, "what would
it taste like?" Blue Chair Bay Rum was the answer.
In 2013, Chesney launched Fishbowl Spirits and
its premium spirits line, Blue Chair Bay Rum. He
enlisted the help of business consultants and strategists along with seasoned spirits experts. The
brand continues to grow, with Chesney as sole
owner and chief creative officer.
Blue Chair Bay molasses-based rums are made
in the Caribbean. Other rum products from
Chesney's line include Spiced Rum, White Rum,
Coconut Rum, Vanilla Rum, Coconut Spiced Rum,
Key Lime Rum Cream, Banana Rum Cream,
Pineapple Rum Cream and Coconut Spiced Rum
Cream. Like Chesney's music, his spirit takes fans
to a carefree place for relaxation and fun.
