COINTREAU MIMOSA
Elevate your Mimosa with Cointreau,
the orange-flavored triple sec liqueur
produced in Saint-Barthélemyd'Anjou, France. The cocktail was
created at the Ritz Hotel in Paris,
so a French liqueur makes the ideal
complement.
▷
▷
▷
▷
½ OZ. COINTREAU
1½ OZ. FRESH ORANGE JUICE
3 OZ. SPARKLING WINE
ORANGE TWIST FOR GARNISH
Combine Cointreau and orange juice
in a chilled mixing glass. Add ice
and stir briefly. Strain into a chilled
champagne flute. Top with sparkling
wine. Garnish.
IRISH COFFEE VARIATIONS
The concept is simple: the caffeine
of coffee plus the pleasure of
alcohol and any flavorings needed
to perfect the taste. The original
is made with coffee, Irish whiskey, a sweetener and cream. But
substitute your favorite liquor for
a grand new taste sensation that
perfects your brunch.
CHAMBORD &
SPARKLING WINE
You can't get much simpler than
this blend of luscious black
raspberry liqueur with the bubbly
enjoyment of sparkling wine. Add
a little more Chambord ... as you
please!
▷ ¾ OZ. CHAMBORD
▷ 4 OZ. SPARKLING WINE
Pour the Chambord into a flute
glass. Top with sparkling wine.
Enjoy!
JASMINE
APEROL SPRITZ
The after-work Spritz is a longestablished Italian tradition, but it
has become a versatile drink that fits
snugly into brunch. And it's easy to
make to boot. Any sparkling wine will
work, but Prosecco honors this Italian
apéritif's roots.
▷ 3 OZ. PROSECCO OR SPARKLING
WINE
▷ 2 OZ. APEROL
▷ 1 OZ. CLUB SODA
▷ ORANGE WHEEL FOR GARNISH
Add Prosecco, Aperol and club soda
to a wine glass filled with ice. Stir and
garnish.
18 SPIRITED VIRGINIA
The Jasmine could be defined by
deception. It looks sweet, but it's
not. It tastes like fresh-squeezed
grapefruit juice, but it contains
no grapefruit. And it was named
after a friend of creator Paul
Harrington who actually spelled
her name " Jasmin. " But what it is
in reality is a riff on a Pegu Club.
It's a bright, brilliant, sour, and
bittersweet aperitif and a welcome
predecessor to brunch.
▷ 1½ OZ. GIN
▷ ¾ OZ. FRESH-SQUEEZED
LEMON JUICE
▷ ¼ OZ. CAMPARI
▷ ¼ OZ. COINTREAU
Pour ingredients into a cocktail
shaker, fill with ice and shake
well for 10 seconds. Strain into a
chilled cocktail glass. Garnish.
*
Like rum? You'll be making
a Jamaican Coffee.
* Prefer Scotch? Whip up a
Highland or Gaelic Coffee.
* Is vodka your jam? That's a
Russian Coffee.
* Like Grand Marnier or
Cointreau? Try a French
Coffee.
* Make it a Mexican Coffee
with Kahlua and Tequila.
The variations are endless, and
the experimentation is divine!
GRAND MARGARITA
The refreshing cocktail pairs sour
lime with earthy tequila and adds
the Grand Marnier cognac and bitter
orange flavor for a refined smoothness
and a heightened drinking experience.
This could be batched to a punch, but
be sure to use small glasses and don't
double dip in rimming glasses!
▷ 1 OZ. GRAND MARNIER CORDON
ROUGE
▷ 1 OZ. TEQUILA
▷ ½ OZ. FRESHLY LIME JUICE
▷ ICE CUBES
▷ LIME WHEEL FOR GARNISH
Rim a Margarita glass with salt. Add
Grand Marnier, tequila and lime juice
to ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake and
strain into glass. Garnish.
DISARONNO FLORIDA
SQUEEZE
Let this classic Italian amaretto liqueur
transform your brunch cocktail with
quality ingredients like burnt sugar and
17 selected herbs and fruits, soaked in
apricot kernel oil.
▷
▷
▷
▷
1½ OZ. DISARONNO
1 OZ. ORANGE JUICE
2 OZ. HEFEWEIZEN BEER
DEHYDRATED ORANGE WHEEL
Add Disaronno and orange juice to a
shaker with ice. Shake and strain into
a highball or pint glass filled with ice.
Top with beer and garnish sparkling
wine. Garnish.
