Catoctin Creek Distilling products
are distributed in about 30 states and
several different countries, including
Canada, Mexico, Singapore and in the
European Union.
However, Scott adds, " Virginia is still
our number one market. "
Despite the wide distribution, the
business continues to offer distillery
tours and tastings as well as special
events on site and off-like whiskey
dinners, cocktail classes, bottling
workshops and distillery takeovers at
local bars. Why?
" Because we love it, " Scott replies.
" We love interacting with our customers.
Our home base is still our number one
market ... We just love doing those
kinds of things and making personal
connections with our fans. "
Given the demand for its products,
Catoctin Creek has recently completed a
significant equipment upgrade. It pulled
out eight pieces of older equipment,
including the original 100-gallon pot
still, to replace with new.
" This will essentially triple our
production capacity, " says Scott.
In addition, he says, " We'll continue
to push Roundstone Rye into national
market, and offer our barrel select
program-customers choose a barrel
and bottle it as their own. "
From Virginia and enjoyed in Virginia,
Catoctin Creek acts as a commonwealth
ambassador in the U.S. and abroad.
Catoctin Creek spirits are something
Virginians can be proud of.
