Lenk Orthodontics
Dr. Misty D. Lenk grew up in a typical middle-class family,
worked her way through college and dental school,
completed four years of higher education in the field
of orthodontics and launched her own dental business
from the ground up. Nine years since its conception, Lenk
Orthodontics is an award-winning business, receiving the
2011 Depaul Woman of Achievement Award in the field of
health and science and receiving the Best of Botetourt Gold
awards and Our Health Magazine Best Bedside Manner in
the field of Orthodontics Gold Awards in 2015 and 2016.
Lenk Orthodontics provides care to patients of all ages, from
seven to 70 years old. They provide all forms of orthodontic
care from braces to aligners to fixed functional appliances
(in lieu of the good old headgear!). They use fluoride varnish
on all patients (to prevent decalcification or decay during
treatment) and offer permanent retainers when care is
complete to minimize problems related to full-time wear of
removable retainers and to guarantee stability of treatment
results during the first year out of braces.
Dr. Lenk values her education and strives to continue the
learning process to provide her patients with the most
modern and proven types of orthodontic treatment. She
is one of only seven orthodontists in the U.S. on the Clear
Correct advisory committee, a leading aligner company in
the country. Dr. Lenk also dedicates between 60-80 hours
every school year, giving back to the community in various

ways. As a mom of four, she empathizes with struggles of
our modern families. Her office strives to run and finish
treatments on time, make treatment as affordable as
possible, offer numerous payment plan options and provide
individualized and gentle care. Her fun, family-friendly office
is open to patients five days a week and is conveniently
located near the 581-460-220 corridor, making it a
convenient location for people not only in Botetourt County
but in all surrounding areas.
"We have many patients that drive as far as Richmond,
West Virginia, Covington, VA Beach, and Smith Mountain
Lake," says Dr. Lenk. "When I tell my patients there are
other options, the typical response is that 'the drive isn't
that bad' or that 'it is worth it.' They tell me that they love
me, my staff, and the loving care they receive. It is a huge
honor getting a formal award, especially one like the Top
Doc Award, but the most fulfilling award for me is to be
able to improve the quality of life of my patients, to produce
beautiful smiles, to be a positive role model to others, to
be respected by my professional colleagues and to be
appreciated and loved by my patients!"
