Cover: Jason Penland captured the Blue Ridge Parkway about
a half mile south of the Craggy Gardens parking area (MP
364.1) in north Carolina. When the rain and fog broke for
just a few seconds, he saw this beautiful shot, looking back
toward Craggy Gardens. The evening light and glossy
pavement created rich colors, aided by Penland's use of a
polarizing filter.
