Bryan Yerman. Bryan Yerman greets visitors with a smile and a
wealth of knowledge at the Biltmore,
long known as "America's Largest
Private Home." The mighty mansion
stands at Asheville, North Carolina, a
city that has since become home to Yerman, who grew up at Tampa, Florida.
Today, at 38, Yerman serves as an assistant manager of guest relations at
the Biltmore.
Where do you like to go? The
Biltmore. "One of my favorite places inside the house is the library. It's
two levels and just filled with books.
And George Vanderbilt, who built
it, loved books, loved reading and
loved having guests come over and
pick up books. And that just kind of
signifies who he is. It is also just a really, really cool space in the house."

Where do you like to
go? "The story of how the Great
Smoky Mountains Park was created
is a story of people, their history,
and their connection to this park
... For me, I really like to hike the
trails that are less well known. It's
an opportunity to clear my head
and reflect. This summer I took my
wife and our two daughters hiking
on the Cataloochee Divide trail. It
was an amazing experience. With
848 miles of trails to explore in the
park, I have really focused on discovering this vast park in my limited free time. We are thoroughly

enjoying hiking along the trails
across the park in North Carolina
and Tennessee. When your teenage daughter enjoys spending time
along the trail with you, that's an
opportunity to make incredible
memories."
Morgan Sommerville.
From an office in Asheville, North Carolina,
Morgan Sommerville
serves as the regional
director for the Appalachian Trail Conservancy. This Pennsylvania
native, at 63, oversees the A.T. as
it meanders through Georgia, North
Carolina and Tennessee.
Where do you like to go? Appalachian Trail. "The places that
are most iconic along the A.T. in
our region are the southern Appalachian grassy balds. So the premiere section of the trail for that
is the Roan Highlands at Roan
Mountain. It's spectacular all times
of year. During June, it has the
rhododendrons and flame azaleas
blooming."
