Gardening Hints

To keep cabbages from splitting open
as they ripen, grab each with both
hands and turn counter-clockwise
a quarter turn. This breaks off the
smaller roots and slows growth.
Leather is good for peaches. To enrich
the soil, bury your old shoes and
boots close to your tree.
Draw your fingernails across a bar of
soap before going to the garden and
you'll seal the undersides of your
nails so dirt can't collect beneath
them. Then, after you've finished
in the garden, use a nailbrush to
remove the soap and your nails will
be sparkling clean.

Recipe
OVEN-BAKED CHEESY
ZUCHINNI FRITTERS
Ingredients
medium zucchini, grated and squeezed
dry
1  egg
2 oz. Parmesan, grated 
1/2 cup  panko 
1 clove garlic, pressed
½ tsp salt
black pepper
Directions
Mix all ingredients. Drop by heaping TBS
onto a greased baking sheet and flatten.
Bake at 400° for 18 -20 minutes until
golden brown. Flip halfway through.
