BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS

CALM AND COLLECTED

While Michelle Cofer and Nathan Taylor
grew up only 20 miles apart and attended
West Virginia University at the same time,
their paths didn't cross until one summer
night while bowling. The chemistry was
obvious, and when they met again a year
later, a first date quickly followed.
One morning at home, Nathan ran out
to get items for breakfast. He was gone for
a while and upon return, Michelle helped
him unpack bags, only to find a silver box at
the bottom. She opened the box and turned
to see him on one knee, and later found out
he'd been at her parents' house asking her
father for permission to marry her.

Michelle's favorite memory from the wedding
was when she began to walk down the aisle
and saw Nathan's face. For her, everyone
else disappeared and without any worries or
nerves, she was completely calm knowing she
walked towards her best friend and future.
"It was breathtaking and still gives me
chills to think of months later," Michelle says.

Michelle says her cake was everything
she dreamed of, with four tiers of delicious
flavors. The cake was gray with black ribbon
and beautiful floral design and stenciling.
Red roses were incorporated into the stunning centerpieces, bouquets and ceremony
pergola, while fantastic food and drink kept
guests full and happy.

ROSES UPON ROSES

They chose timeless colors of black, white
and gray, with red roses for accents (as well
as a callback to their long-distance relationship when Nathan would show up on her
doorstep with a dozen roses).

Their special day was coined the "Marilyn
Monroe Wedding" by the photographer due
to its classic details. Guests came from all
over the country, including a member of
the bridal party who was a two-time Super
Bowl champion for the New York Giants.
