Haleigh Byrd was a customer service manager
when she first met produce manager Chris
Gray. Haleigh describes their early working
relationship as "love/hate," which is now
hilarious to the couple. Haleigh was later
reassigned to a store in Charlottesville, while
Chris went to another store. They linked back
up through friends and Chris came up to the
area for dinner as she got off work at the same
time. Haleigh wound up going to dinner with
Chris and their friends and, as she says, "the
rest is history!"
Chris invited her friends and family over for
an Easter lunch, though he had bigger plans
for the day. He asked Haleigh to come outside

to look at ducks. She opened the door of their
back deck to find everyone outside with balloons
and rose petals. With their seven-year-old,
Aubriee, and toddler, Oaklynn, by his side,
Chris got down on one knee and proposed.
SURROUNDED BY LOVE
The newlyweds will never forget the feeling of
being surrounded by their many friends and
loved ones as they married their best friend.
Haleigh remembers the moment she first sat
down at their table with Chris as they looked
at everyone in the room.
"We turned to each other and said, 'these
are our people, everyone is here for us!'"
Haleigh says.
TIMELESS CLASSICS
Haleigh and Chris wanted a very classic theme,
choosing colors of simple black and grays.
Fresh greenery made her bouquet pop, as
well as the mantle for their ceremony. Her
bridesmaids wore long, gray dresses while the
groomsmen wore timeless tuxedos. The couple
walked down the aisle to the violin cover of
John Legend's "All of Me."
Perfect weather made for gorgeous photos,
as did their charming venue. Haleigh also
credits their food as "beyond amazing" while
other vendors pitched in to perfect the details.
"The love felt in the room made our wedding unique," Haleigh says. "I couldn't have
asked for a better day!"
