LONGTIME LOVE
Nicole Fenner first met Zachary Rawson in
2007, when they were both camp counselors
at Wilderness Adventure at Eagle Landing.
They remained friends for a couple years
before making it official.
Just before the couple left for a trip to Spain
in February 2017, Zach filled their apartment
with flowers and champagne. With their dog
Henry beside him, Zach proposed to Nicole.
many memories. To share their experiences
with their closest friends and family, they
chose to marry there as well. Several family
members chose to rent homes and spend the
wedding week together, enjoying the beach
and celebrating the nuptials.
"It was an amazing opportunity to have
everyone in one place," Nicole says. "We loved
every minute!"
ALL THEIR TRAVELS TOGETHER
QUALITY FAMILY TIME
The couple wanted to share a place they love
with the people they love. Since their first year
of dating, the couple spent every Thanksgiving
at the Outer Banks with family, collecting

Nicole opted for a color palette of blush, cream,
French blue and gold. Rather than use table
numbers, the couple used the names of places
they've traveled together, including Istanbul,
Venice, Rome, Madrid, Provence and many others.
The couple welcomed guests with gifts containing elements of both the Outer Banks and
Roanoke, including Salem Parkway Brewing
beer, Carolina barbeque chips, sea salt chocolates and a custom illustrated map of Corolla.
BEST OF SOUTH AND COAST
The menu had tastes of both the South (pulled
pork sliders, pecan-crusted chicken) and the
coast (Carolina crab cakes, shrimp cocktail),
while their dessert bar included Duck Donuts,
fruit tarts and carrot cake. They also offered
"his and hers" cocktails, featuring an oldfashioned and mojito. Guests enjoyed being
chauffered from their accommodations to the
venue via trolley.
