LOVE AT FIRST CHAT
Lindsay Hall felt instant chemistry as soon as
she met Dennis "Yale" Burch through mutual
friends at Radford University. The first night
they spent time together, they stayed up talking
in her kitchen late into the night, as if they'd
known each other for years.
The two were at home together on a Friday
night, just the two of them, when Dennis
proposed.
HANDMADE WITH LOVE
A traditional ceremony was important to
the couple, who opted for violin-focused
instrumentals and piano music for the
processional, along with traditional Christian

vows. Lindsay's father created the cross used
as the centerpiece for their ceremony, pergola
and sign for the wedding. The project took
him over a week to complete, and combined
with their florals, created Lindsay's dream
wedding canvas.
SOUTHERN PERFECTION
Lindsay and Dennis wanted their day to
showcase classic Southern charm, evident in
their venue and photos. The food certainly
allowed for Southern flavors, including BLT
sliders, deviled egg tasting, ginger apple-seared
chicken breast, braised beef medallions, mac
and cheese, country-style green beans with
ham hock and grilled local vegetables.
Though their chosen venue, Stoneleigh
Estate, is not a standard wedding venue, the
couple loved it so much after visiting that
Lindsay immediately hand-selected every
vendor to be part of their day there. The brick
Tudor, built in 1929, has historic value as the
builder, Thomas Stanley, would found Stanley
Furniture and later become a Virginia governor.
NOTHING BUT FUN
Lindsay still raves about their DJ, who went
above and beyond expectations for great music
during the entire event. She says everyone
stayed on the dance floor long past the end
of the night, making it an absolutely perfect
day for all.
