HIKE OF A LIFETIME
DREAMS COME TRUE
Jaci Clark first met Clay Nye in college through
a mutual friend. Encouraged to attend Clay's
fraternity's Christmas cocktail party, Jaci took
a leap of faith in attending as his date. As she
puts it, Clay ignored the "wait three days to
call rule" and asked her out to dinner the
very next day.
Eight years later, Jaci and Clay went hiking
with friends up to McAfee Knob. Upon reaching
the summit, Clay and Jaci stole a moment at
their favorite spot, away from the crowds. Clay
asked their friends to take a photo of them,
instead surprising Jaci as he got down on one
knee to ask for her hand in marriage.
Jaci chose colors of mint and pink into their
theme, having wanted those elements ever
since she was a little girl. She wore a pair of
mint Christian Louboutin shoes, while her
mother's wedding handkerchief was pinned
inside her dress as "something blue." Clay gave
his groomsmen a pair of crazy socks that were
unique to each of them. Their short and sweet
ceremony contained a beautiful message of
love and companionship.

CREATING PERFECT MEMORIES
Forever favorite memories include walking
down the aisle and their first kiss as husband
and wife. Others included getting "iced" by
the bridal party upon reception entry, their
first dance - including Clay "knocking the
dips out of the park" - and of course, having
a blast dancing the night away.
LAUGHTER AND FUN
Guests enjoyed the lively band and photo booth,
as well as the introductions of the wedding
party. The couple wrote little "roasts" of each
bridal party member as they were introduced,
followed by a shot together before heading to
the dance floor.
Jaci and Clay wanted to end their night on
the same fun and carefree note it began - and
what better way than to kick off her heels
before jumping into the pool!
