LOVE AND JOY

Meredith Brammer first met Logan Patterson in
2006 through a mutual friend, dating through
high school and eventually attending Virginia
Tech together. Their love remained strong while
Logan moved to Charlottesville for graduate
school and she went to Jefferson College of
Health Sciences for her degree in nursing.
The couple have always been serious VT fans,
bonding over football. They drove to Blacksburg
one summer to tour the new football practice
facility. While in the middle of the field for
a photo, Logan proposed, creating a special
moment as they got engaged at one of their
favorite places.

Meredith chose slate blue for the bridesmaids'
dresses, while the groomsmen wore navy blue
suits, with maroon and gray as accent colors.
The wedding party had a blast getting ready
in the bridal and groom suites at their venue.
Guests enjoyed the indoor and outdoor venue
spaces while enjoying the open bar, chocolate,
coconut or strawberry cupcakes and a DJ that
kept them dancing all night long. Meredith
danced with her father to Stevie Wonder's "Isn't
She Lovely," while the bride's cousins continued a family tradition of a dance routine for
the bride and groom. The night ended with a
sparkler exit, after which the newlyweds drove
off to Hotel Roanoke.

The couple wanted a short ceremony full of
fun and love, wanting to spend as much time
as possible with their guests. Meredith was
insistent that the day be fun and memorable.
One of Meredith's favorite moments was when
their officiant-a Navy Lieutenant Commander
and Meredith's cousin- asked the couple to
look out into the audience to see those that
had traveled to see their day.
"So many of them watched us grow from
teens to adults and made me feel even more
connected to my husband," she says. "I was
filled with so much love and joy to see all of
our favorite people in one place to watch the
love of my life and me get married."
