A LOVE OBVIOUS TO ALL

CREATING THE PERFECT DAY

A SWEET LITTLE RIVALRY

Though Logan George and John Cooke had
known each other for couple of years, it wasn't
until she graduated from UVA and began
spending time with her brother that she and
John grew closer. Their friends even picked up
on their connection before they did, claiming
they were secretly dating; it didn't take long
before they were officially a couple, dating
long-distance while she finished her master's
degree and he began a job in D.C.
In August 2017, Logan and John visited his
sister in London. At the Royal Observatory in
Greenwich, a park overlooking the London
cityscape, John surprised Logan with her
beautiful ring.

Logan credits her amazing vendors in creating
the perfect wedding day. Their English Garden
theme was elegant with modern touches, with
a simple color palette of whites and greens,
and peonies shipped from Alaska. Their
ceremony was also very special to the couple,
as the Deacon incorporated their families into
the ceremony.
Guests received welcome bags with a
watercolor map of Blacksburg (Logan and
John have one framed in their home). Signature
cocktails of "Logan's Strawberry Lemonade"
and "John's Blackberry Bourbon," were enjoyed
by all, as were the finale fireworks from the
10th fairway.

Logan always thought the day would be stressful,
but when all was said and done, it went so
seamlessly, she didn't want the night to ever end.
"[Our venue] went above and beyond to
make us comfortable and happy," she says.
"The view of the mountains and valley is
hard to beat!"
For the newlyweds, the entire day was all
about blending, from styles and spaces to their
families and rivalries.
"People give us a hard time about our UVA
and VT rivalry, wedding day included," she says.
"But our wedding was the perfect example of
everyone coming together in the most perfect
way possible!"
