THEIR LAST FIRST DATE

QUIET MOMENTS TOGETHER

Brittany Lambert and Randy Soucek's story
first began online, emailing for a few weeks
before they knew they had to finally meet in
person. On a Saturday afternoon in October,
they attended a fall festival, had lunch and
drove through the countryside. Brittany says
awkward silences were not a problem, as the
conversation became endless, and it become
the "most lovely, simple, last first date."
On a trip to Universal Studios, Randy and
Brittany paused to admire an overlook view.
Randy asked her to hold his towel and she did
so, thinking he wanted to take a picture. She
looked over to find him on one knee, asking
her to be his bride.

Choosing colors of blush pink, burgundy
and tan, Brittany's bouquet of fresh flowers
included white, blush pink, dark red roses and
greenery. Metal lanterns with greenery and
white roses served as reception centerpieces.
Brittany and Randy wanted a small wedding
vibe to create intimacy for their guests. Brittany's
sister acted as maid of honor, while Randy's
younger brother was his best man.The officiant
shared their love story with guests, including
the newlyweds being married six years from
the day they first met.
Before the wedding, Brittany's family snuck
Randy into the bridal suite so that the couple
could share a special moment. Without seeing

his bride, they read each other letters and
prayed, offering a humbling moment before
becoming husband and wife.
"I will always cherish that moment and his
beautiful letter," Brittany says.
SWEETS AND TREATS

The couple offered Southern food of barbeque
chicken, mac and cheese, berry cobbler and
more. They offered four cakes, including a
peanut butter with chocolate icing topped
with chocolate covered strawberries made to
look like footballs for the groom.
Guests had a sweet surprise with favors of
chocolate walnut and peanut butter fudge,
made with love by the groom's mother.
