FROM FARM TO TABLE

Corey Dobbins and Allie Bryson began dating
in college, but as it turns out, they had actually
known each other for years before then. He used
to go into her grandparents' general store and
ask, " Who was that girl behind the counter?"
Little did he realize it was his future wife!
Just before sunset, Corey set up a picnic table
with flowers a blanket, along with an open
Bible that had underlined Alli's favorite verse
(Jeremiah 29:11); she grew emotional when she
saw it was engraved with her new last name.
As she read a letter he'd written, he popped the
question, and revealed a photographer to have
captured the memory on video.

From the processional music (including her
favorite hymn, "It Is Well With My Soul") to
the personal vows, every detail was special. Soft
blues, pale greens and cowboy boots added to
the charm. Alli even walked through a set of
rustic bar doors that Corey made himself, and
they plan to use in their future house.
Alli adored having a day with beautiful
weather, though her favorite part of the "simple
country rustic" day was their ceremony.
"That's where you become one as a couple,"
she says. "I remember looking at Corey and
hoping I would never forget the way I was
feeling, ready to love him with my whole heart
for my whole life."

The chosen centerpieces have a close place in
Alli's heart, as the slabs of wood were cut by
her father from his own land. Sitting on top
were old Farris milk bottles, special to their
family history and community, brought in by
various family members and filled with baby's
breath and sitting next to engagement photos.
Guests enjoyed the majestic mountain views
and delicious food and desserts. The couple's
unique guest book was a slab of wood that
guests signed with markers, made in part by
Corey's stepfather. "It is now our coffee table,
and it's so sweet to have a visible reminder of
all the people that were there and how loved
we are as a couple," Alli says.
