THE FIRST MOMENT OF FOREVER

A LITTLE HELP FROM FAMILY

Jordann Nemec was a freshmen at Virginia
Tech when she met junior Nathaniel Deacon.
After going out with friends to the movies, they
went to Lane Stadium, where they talked and
talked while their friends waited; they dated
for three more months before realizing they
were officially only for each other.
In October 2018, Jordann's roommate walked
in with a letter from Nathaniel, saying "Today
is the day!" The first stop was Lane Stadium,
followed by Starbucks (their first date) and
finally, a romantic cove where he proposed. He
followed it up with a surprise party where they
and their closest friends and family danced all
night long in celebration.

From the stunning Blue Ridge Mountains
to the modern barn with natural light and
chandeliers, everything about their wedding
day was perfect. Jordann's father even built their
ceremony cross in his backyard, showcasing the
labor of love he performed for his daughter.
Jordann will never forget the moment she
walked down the aisle, having long anticipated
the emotions she'd feel as her father walked
her to Nathaniel. Brimming with excitement,
peace and joy, she hugged her dad and locked
eyes with her groom who had so faithfully
pursued her for over two years. "It was the
first moment of our forever and it was the
best!" Jordann says.

Jordann was thrilled to have her perfect bridal
bouquet, having always envisioned with roses
and soft, sweet colors. Her mother searched for
months until she found the perfect centerpieces,
highlighted by wooden discs that Jordann's
grandfather not only cut down, but sanded,
stained and glossed; her grandmother added
felt as well, making them a true family effort.
Guests took home a piece of Blacksburg in
the form of delicious Virginia Tech-themed
cookies. Above all, Jordann and Nathaniel felt
so loved by each and every guest, celebrating all
night long with the people who walk through
life with them each day.
