BEST CAMPING TRIP EVER

Kayla Lynch first met Brian Mangold during
her freshmen year (his sophomore) at Roanoke
College thanks to mutual friends.
When the weather is nice, Kayla and Brian's
favorite activities are hiking and camping. In
October 2017, they planned a trip to Pisgah
National Forest in North Carolina, followed
by a trip to Asheville. Brian was so excited,
they'd hardly set up camp before he got down
on one knee next to the tent and picnic table.
They spent the rest of their trip celebrating!
CLASSIC ELEGANCE

Brian and Kayla wanted simple, timeless decor
and colors for their day. They chose muted
36 | REAL WEDDINGS

grays and blues for the dresses, and dark navy
for his groomsmen, wanting to love their colors
no matter how much time passed. They also
chose white wild flowers and greenery for
simplicity. The newlyweds asked one of their
best friends to officiate the ceremony, making
it meaningful to them. Their photographer
also made them feel at ease, and Kayla and
Brian will look at their photos "for the rest
of their life."
Kayla loved the venue's honeymoon and
bridal suite, finding it a sweet surprise when
first touring it. As a stunning suite that has
"absolutely everything you could ever need,"
the space served the couple well during the
weekend.

PERFECT PUMPKIN PAIRING

Guests enjoyed the couple's choice of dessert
donuts, and were able to take them home as
favors, thanks to the couple's cute custom
brown bags.
Though the couple did not know each other
prior to college, they found a fun coincidence
in their venue choice, having both picked
pumpkins at Sinkland Farms as kids. Kayla
and Brian return to the annual pumpkin
festival each year (and will continue to do
so), and loved having their wedding at such
a special location, where guests always recall
how their wedding was so "them," thanks to
the venue's wedding planner and hidden gems
all over the farm.
