A NATURAL KIND OF LOVE

CELEBRATING A DAY OF THE DEAD

Junelle Lewis first met Patrick King through
work; his brother-in-law was going through
orientation with Junelle, and talked up Patrick.
Junelle later went to him for car help, and
soon a friendship was formed. Without really
noticing, their relationship grew into something
more, and as things fell into place, it was so
natural, it was as if they'd been together for
years. Patrick stepped up to the role of father
figure for Junelle's two young sons without
hesitation.
Patrick tried to hide the engagement ring,
originally a Christmas gift, but Junelle couldn't
wait. He'd barely asked the question when she
said yes and leapt into his arms!

As Junelle and Patrick are both lovers of the
unusual, they chose to have a "Day of the
Dead" theme. As the day is a remembrance
day to celebrate and honor those who have
passed, and they have lost many people who
mean so much to them, the couple also felt
it was perfect for them. Their ceremony had
pops of red, including her all-rose bouquet,
to honor her late father's favorite color and
flower, while their reception was full of color.
Junelle chose a black dress - not only because
it's a happy color for her, but she felt white
wouldn't have fit her personality. Her family
was a huge help, with her mother handling
the food and also making her cake, a family

tradition. Junelle says no one else could've
possibly made their cake, or it wouldn't have
felt right!
THE PERFECT DAY FOR THEM

The newlyweds live in a very rural county, and
say their wedding was a bit different for the
area. Friends say no one else could've pulled
off their day, and their personalities shined
through every detail.
"The entire day was perfect," Junelle says. "It
was everything I'd ever dreamed of. Everything
went so smoothly and we weren't stressed in
the slightest. We were just two people in love,
becoming one big, happy family. We would do
it all over again!"
