PARENTS KNOW BEST

Whitney Eggleston has her parents to thank
for meeting Michael Creamer, as he was their
financial advisor. After introductions, the
two exchanged emails and eventually grabbed
drinks together.
For his proposal, Michael took Whitney
to the Homestead Resort in late August. He
kept it simple and sweet, getting on one knee
and telling Whitney, "I love you so much and
I want to marry you!"
HANDMADE WITH LOVE

Whitney wanted to cherish every moment of
their sweet day, with a color palette of forest
green, blush, maroon and gold. Details included

a custom monograph on all their welcome
boxes, programs and invitations, in addition
to a calligrapher addressing all 300 invitations
by hand to make them personal and timeless.
Whitney's mother and father walked her
down the aisle. For her "something old,"
Whitney had a piece of both her mother's
wedding dress and Michael's mother's wedding
dress sewn into her gown.
BUST A MOVE

Whitney and Michael left the church in a
vintage Dodge Dart. Guests were welcomed
inside the reception venue by a bridal portrait
and custom calligraphy sign, and danced with
custom tambourines. Their 14-piece band, who

specializes in Motown but can play everything,
played for four hours straight without a break,
keeping everyone on the dance floor. The
bride, groom and even the bride's father took
professional dance lessons for their first and
father and daughter dances, showing off their
hard-earned moves. They even had a visit from
the Hokie Bird!
Whitney and Michael also hosted a welcome
party the night before, including all their
favorite Blacksburg food, and spent quality
time with guests before the busy wedding day.
"Our favorite memory was spending the
weekend with all our favorite people ... having
[all of them] together under one roof was such
a unique experience!" Whitney says.
