TATTOOED ON HER HEART

THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT

THEIR LOVE OF LOCAL

Heather Taylor and Matthew Beamer first met
at a Valentine's Day party, where he asked if
he could take her out on a date. She said yes
and gave him her number to call her later; to
her surprise, he meant taking her out that very
night! They walked to Jack Brown's nearby
and had their very first date.
Three months later, Heather and Matthew
got matching tattoos on the insides of their left
feet. When Matthew decided to propose, he
took her back to the tattoo studio and popped
the question. After saying yes, they walked to
Jack Brown's, where Matthew had made sure
they would sit at the exact same table as their
first date together.

Heather and Matthew wanted to celebrate
the holidays, choosing a Christmas theme for
their wedding. It was something Heather had
always wanted, and was executed perfectly by
her florist and their designs, with colors of
green, red and gold.
They also had "his and hers" Christmas
trees behind the sweetheart table; ribbons
and whimsical ornaments (such as unicorns
and cats) decorated the bride's tree, while the
groom's tree had burlap bows and ornaments
of woodland creatures, mushrooms and antlers.
Nutcrackers and trees of all sizes peppered the
hall. "It truly felt like you were at a wedding at
the North Pole!" she says.

The couple wanted to use all local vendors,
from the fabric they bought for bridesmaids'
dresses and seamstress who made them, even
down to their cake topper. Not only did they
give back to their community in that way, but
the vendors, many of whom work together for
other weddings, were able to make every detail
exactly as Matthew and Heather wanted it.
The newlyweds got a first look at the reception
hall before guests arrived, which was Heather's
favorite memory. It also allowed the couple a
quiet moment together before the party began.
"It was so beautiful and overwhelming to
see how the space had been transformed into
my Christmas vision!" Heather says.
