STEVE BOYD, VIRGINIA TECH Class
of 1981 where he was a member of the
school's Corps of Cadets, says he knows his
collection comes nowhere close to Denison's. However, squeezed into his family
room are a wealth of Tech-themed items.
These include various-size replicas of the
football helmet designs worn through
the years and a real helmet he wanted so
badly, he bid $1,000 to get it. "It helped the
school, too," he says.
