Q: Tell us about your business.
A: Simply Framing by Kristi is a custom frame shop. We cater to
individuals as well as corporate and government businesses. Our main
passion is framing, but we also carry a large selection of art by local
artists.
Q: What specific products or services do you offer?
A: We offer many services. We only use conservation materials for all
of our frame orders. We also do shadow boxes and custom mirrors.
Unlike the big box framers, ALL work is done on our premises. Nothing is
shipped off to another state to be framed. This may sound insignificant,
but a lot of our customers' work means a lot to them and cannot be
replaced if lost or destroyed. Turnaround time is usually one to two
weeks, but we do rush orders frequently.
Corporate work is also a big part of our business. There is no such thing
as an order too small or too large. We will pick up and deliver if necessary.
If art is what you are interested in, we carry a large selection of original
art, prints and photography by local artists. These include Eric Fitzpatrick,
Greg Osterhaus, Bonnie Mason, Donna Tuten and John Singleton.
Q: What makes your business unique?
A: Our business is unique in that we offer one-on-one interaction with
our customers. Unlike ordering framing online or somewhere that ships
it off, we include the customer in the decision making process from start
to finish. We ask questions and we give our opinions, if asked. We help
with mat colors, frame selections and glass choices. Because everything
is done in house, if the customer is unsure of a mat, frame, etcetera,
changes can be made before the order is completed. We feel our pricing
is fair, and if a customer is unhappy with our work we will gladly try to
make it right. We have over 35 years experience in custom framing, and
we also have art and design backgrounds.
Q: What's your favorite part of your job?
A: The favorite part of my job is coming to work! We have THE BEST
customers who are also our friends.
Q: What does it mean to be recognized as a "Best of 2018" award winner?
A: Being a "Best of 2018" award winner means the world to me. It means
that customers trust us and our work, and that means a great deal. It is
probably the most important thing of all. We have also acquired a lot of
new customers because of these awards.
