Q: What sets MKB agents apart from
others?
A: I don't want to sound boastful, but our
agents are unmatched. Their willingness
to work together, share knowledge, help
with a tough issue and lift one another up
is incredible. When someone is knocked
down, we pick them up together. This sense
of solidarity translates to relationships with
clients too-through their ability to relate
when a seller is having a tough time saying
goodbye to the house they raised their
children in; or as a buyer, taking the leap
into a brand new phase in life. These things
aren't easy; on any given day, our agents act
as guides, therapists, coaches and so many
other things beyond Realtors.
These people are the best part of my job;
they're what keeps me coming in every
day. MKB is fortunate to be a leader in our
industry-we're proud of our growth and
success, and I attribute that entirely to the
people, our agents, staﬀ and clients. We are
nothing without every member of our big
family.

Q: How do you see the future of real
estate in Roanoke?
A: We have a duty to listen to the shifting
tides and adapt to new business models.
We are constantly educating ourselves and
providing training for our agents so that our
clients can be conﬁdent they will make it
through a web of transactional complexities.
It's no secret that the market is hot. Homes
are selling in a matter of hours, many times
with multiple oﬀers above listing price. The
skills of a savvy agent have never been
more important than they are today. As for
the future, I will always see the importance
placed on communication, connections and
competency. I don't have a crystal ball, but
what I know for sure is that our foundations
as a company, our values and ﬁerce loyalty
to clients and community will always stay
the same.
Q: What does it mean to be recognized
as a " Best of 2021 " award winner?
A: You know, it means to me that we've
done something right. It's a humbling

reminder of what an honor it is to be
