Nominations are now open for the 2012 elections and the deadline for nominations is September 30. Ballots will be distributed in late November, and results of elections determined by Dec. 31, 2012. You’ll get a preview of all the training and networking events scheduled for you! Hope to see you in Orlando, February 6-9, 2013. MACS Mobile A/C Boot Camp, Sept. 28-29 in Lansdale, Pa. Do you know what you don’t know about mobile A/C service and repair? If not, it’s time to get your feet wet. MACS will hold a mobile A/C boot camp on Friday, September 28 and Saturday, September 29 at the MACS training facility in Lansdale, Pa. On Friday, September 28 technicians can get their federally required Section 609 certification and learn how to use the proper tools and equipment for the best mobile A/C service and repair operations including a refrigerant recovery machine. On Saturday, September 29, MACS will present Mobile A/C Best Practices including an update on the new HFO-1234yf refrigerant and an electrical diagnostics class. Section 609 webinar-October 17, 2012 Technicians who need Section 609 certification may register to attend a scheduled MACS webinar on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 3 p.m. EDT. The cost is $45 and includes a Section 609 test plus your credentials. You can audit the course – sit in on the training but not take the test – for $25. You must have access to the Internet to view this training.
