Blower Motor Service
2008-2013 Nissan Rogue
T
he removal and installation information in Nissan’s
service information for the HVAC blower motor on
the 2008-2013 Rogue has been lacking some important
steps which made the process confusing and difficult. Nissan
says it will change the procedure in its service information to
ease and improve the process.
Here are the corrected, complete blower motor removal and
installation steps you should take, using the proper service
information:
REMOVAL
1. Remove the instrument panel driver’s side lower cover.
2. Remove the combination meter.
3. Remove the knee protector.
4. Remove the knee bracket mounting nut, then the bracket.
5. Remove the foot duct.
6. Remove the door mode motor.
7. Remove the brake pedal assembly and accelerator pad.
8. Disconnect the blower motor connector (A).
9. Press the flange holding hook (1) then turn the blower motor
counterclockwise (2). Pull outward (3) to remove the blower
motor.
CAUTION: The balance is adjusted when the blower fan
and blower motor are assembled, so do not replace individual
parts.
INSTALLATION
Installation is basically the reverse order of removal.
CAUTION: Be sure to correctly install the blower motor
flange holding hook in the unit assembly.
Test the system for proper operation before returning the
vehicle to the customer.
