Meet Agnes Perez of Auto Air Parts of Puerto Rico Agnes believes you should never stop learning and in 2005 she obtained her master of business administration degree. At that point she took a break from studying but found that was a big mistake as change is occurring so rapidly you have to keep up. She says, in her opinion, "MACS can bring you information and opportunities that can lead you to business success." S ince MACS will be holding a training event in San Juan, Puerto Rico on Saturday, April 18 at the Puerto Rico Convention Center, we thought it made sense for this issue's MACS member profile to visit MACS member Agnes Perez of Auto Air Parts of Puerto Rico. Agnes is the second generation of Auto Air Parts of Puerto Rico. William Perez, her father, founded the business in 1977 and ever since she can remember Agnes has worked side by side with her Dad helping the business grow. Auto Air Parts of Puerto Rico (AAPPR) carries mobile A/C parts and hose assemblies for all types of vehicles including heavy duty trucks, off road vehicles and buses. They also serve wholesalers and they have two automotive repair shops to serve consumers. Over the last 38-years AAPPR 12 has earned the reputation as the go-to headquarters for mobile A/C service and repair. MACS members since 1988, Agnes has found that, "Being a MACS member has its benefits in that you can learn, meet and network with many companies from all over the world." We asked Agnes her feelings about the impending changeover from R-134a refrigerant to R-1234yf and she an- swered, "Our main concern regarding the new refrigerant is that most technicians do not understand what to do or how to work with it. We emphasize the need for technicians to become properly trained in using the new refrigerant and the new recovery machines, fittings and proper service procedures; that's why we hope technicians in Puerto Rico will come to the MACS clinic on Saturday, April 18, 2015 and take advantage of the day long Spanish language training." ACTION * January/February 2015 Both Agnes and her father William will be attending the MACS 2015 Training Event and Trade Show in Orlando in February 2015. Agnes says, "I look forward to going to the MACS annual Training Event because I learn so much at the many seminars and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to increase their knowledge." Agnes has been a major force in helping put together the April 18 MACS Training Event in San Juan.
