A large group of family and friends gathered in Frisco,
TX, in December for a surprise retirement party in honor of
Arthur (Butch) Smith.
Butch, well known throughout the mobile air
conditioning community, is a long-time member of MACS.
He first served on the MACS Board of Directors in 1987,
and held almost every office during his 17-year tenure
on the board, in addition to chairing many committees in
service to the membership. Butch served most recently as
past chairman of MACS.
In recognition of his many contributions to the industry
and the MACS organization, the MACS Board of Directors
voted unanimously to name him an Honorary Lifetime
Member, a distinction reserved for a small group of
individuals who have made significant contributions to the
industry.
