possible B1479. This part fits various Toyota and Lexus
models from 2011 through 2018 - even the Hybrid models with electric compressors. The replacement requires
only a pair of snap ring pliers - no recovery and recharge
required as discussed in the Dorman YouTube video.

Toyota / Lexus models using a refrigerant flow sensor.
The Hall Effect section of the sensor is the flat section
that fits on top of the compressor on another subcomponent within the compressor, where the sensor can react
with refrigerant flow.

It's an easier and more economical solution compared to a new compressor for many situations.

Dorman Products (never wanting to miss a good opportunity) did just
that with a replacement refrigerant flow sensor (Figure 14) for Toyota compressors. Want even better news? This compressor's refrigerant flow Hall
sensor does NOT require a system recovery and recharge to change! Evidently, the sensor is sensitive enough to sense through whatever subcomponent inside the compressor that is exposed to refrigerant flow. According to Dorman Products, you simply remove the snap ring, pull the faulty
sensor out and pop the new sensor (Dorman part # 926-818) into place.
They even show you how to do the job in a short video on their YouTube
Channel (Figure 15).

Will there be other Toyota compressor flow sensors available in the
aftermarket or does Dorman have a unique solution? A walk around the
trade show at the MACS 2021 Training Event & Trade Show on September
30 - October 2, 2021 at the Rosen Centre in Orlando, Florida should give
