Activating Inspection Mode on a Toyota product: -Run the engine until the Auto Stop cycles a few times -Connect your scan tool -Enter KOEO (two start button pushes, no brake) -Select " Powertrain/Hybrid Control/Active Test " -Select " Inspection Mode-2WD Inspection " -Press the brake and start the engine (it will stay running) -the HV SYSTEM WARNING LAMP WILL ILLUMINATE. This is normal. You can now rev the engine as described. -When finished, turn the ignition OFF to return to normal operation. If you are using an Autel, they have changed the menu and the tool will guide you back to " Special Function " . Follow the instructions and the tool will offer a drop-down menu. If this fails, confirm the vehicle is not overheating and road test the vehicle " aggressively, " enough to get the engine RPM high enough to push the air pocket out of the heater core.
