Today, both tribes have reservations near Yuma, as well as small museums that explore their heritage. The Mohave and Chemehuevi, whose legacies in the area date back thousands of years, form the Colorado River Indian Tribes (CRIT) with members of the Hopi and Navajo nations, relocated to the region in 1865.
