The cultural and educational attractions on the Navajo reservation range from a Burger King with a Navajo Code Talkers exhibit in Kayenta to the Navajo Nation Museum in Window Rock, archiving more than 40,000 historic photographs. Navajo tourism enterprises include The View Hotel, with Monument Valley vistas, and the restaurant at the Cameron Trading Post, serving excellent frybread Indian tacos. At Tuuvi Café near Tuba City and the Hopi Cultural Center restaurant on Second Mesa, you can enjoy such local specialties as noqkwivi (hominy stew). Native guides on the Hopi mesas bring visitors to artists’ homes, and Moenkopi Legacy Inn and Suites encourages visitors to stay overnight. The White Mountain Apaches operate Hon-Dah Resort Casino—the only gaming business in this region—but the tribe is better known for its White Mountain recreation, especially snow skiing at Sunrise Park Resort.
