KC Streetcar

Known by locals as P&L, the Power & Light District is a
buzzy downtown hub full of more than 50 bars, restaurants
and shops. New on the scene is County Road Ice House,
home to cold margaritas and hot barbecue.

CROSSROADS ARTS DISTRICT
Come early and stay late for First Fridays. One of the nation's largest free
art crawls features more than 70 shops and galleries that stay open late in
the 20-block area.

Music's biggest names know Sprint Center, the fourthbusiest arena in the country. Test your skills at The
College Basketball Experience, a hands-on hoops haven
connected to the arena by a shared lobby.

Characterized by its stunning architecture, the Kauffman Center for the
Performing Arts is the Crossroads' pièce de résistance. Having welcomed
names like Yo-Yo Ma and Aretha Franklin, the two soaring performance halls
house the Kansas City Ballet, Lyric Opera and Kansas City Symphony.

Hop aboard the KC Streetcar, now millions of passengers
strong. Easy to use and free to ride, the two-mile starter
line runs mostly along Main Street, connecting restaurants,
galleries and residences along the way.

A favorite of Food & Wine and Oprah Winfrey, the complex artisanal
chocolates by Christopher Elbow range in flavors such as tequila lime and
wildflower honey. Stop by during First Fridays, when flavors are just $1 each.
