Chapter 4-14 Passenger Special Plates Issued by Branch: Antique or Year of Manufacturer Plate continued: A Year of Manufacture motorcycle plate is a plate originally issued by the Commonwealth in the exact year of manufacture of the motorcycle to which it will be attached. If a customer wants to attach a plate from the year a motorcycle was manufactured, he/she must have the original plate in his/her possession. If no plates was issued for a particular year, the customer may use a plate originally issued in a prior year if approved by the Registrar. To be eligible for a Year of Manufacture motorcycle plate, a motorcycle must be at least 25 years old. A plate displaying the word "Antique" CANNOT be used as a "Year of Manufacture Plate". B.
