New COMCARE clinic in Salina
helps meet increasing demand

M

odern amenities, spacious
lobbies, increased comfort
and convenience. Those
entering COMCARE's new
location on South Ohio Street in Salina
will see new surroundings. But patients
and visitors can expect the same comprehensive care that generations of
families have come to expect.
In December, the COMCARE clinic
on Elm Street in Salina was closed
and moved to its new location at 2090
S. Ohio St., near the intersection of
Belmont Boulevard and Ohio Street.

Avenue and in Minneapolis, Delphos and
Miltonvale remain open.
Along with nine doctors, the clinic's
support staff specializes in nursing,
dietitian services, diabetes education,
Well Plan preventive health and exercise physiology.
Comprehensive laboratory services
are available on the first floor of the new
facility. Many patients have lab work
performed in advance of their scheduled
doctor's visits, or in conjunction with a
doctor's appointment.
Modern imaging services also are
available on the first floor, including

X-ray, MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammography, DEXA bone density scans
and nuclear medicine studies. Private,
spacious changing rooms with lockers are situated next to each of the
technology suites, ensuring privacy
for patients preparing for radiology studies.
Those entering the clinic now
report directly to the floor where their
doctor or service is located. Copays
and insurance authorizations can
be handled at any of the three open
check-in desks on each floor. An information desk and elevators are just off
the main entrance.
The design of the building offers
quieter and more spacious clinical
areas. Nurses stations and exam rooms
have improved separation and access
from the lobbies, reducing foot traffic
and crowding in the patient care areas.
