Turnbull also cites the development
of "partnerships across the various sectors of our business" as a value of
WarnerMedia's C Space activity. For
example, the sales division is looking
for "partners who want to engage with
a solutions-based ad organization with
a breadth of brands across entertainment, kids, news and sports."
Fred Jacobs, founder and president of
Jacobs Media Strategies, brings broadcasting executives to CES each year to
assess the media technologies that compete with radio and TV and also to

preview automotive developments, which
account for a sizeable portion of their
advertising inventory. Executives from
these groups also drop into C Space, as
Jacobs put it, "because of the brands that
have staked out key real estate.
"In our world, seeing what Spotify
and Pandora are up to is important to
understanding how the audio business
is evolving," Jacobs explains. He says,
"Broadcasters love the conversation with
marketers and other key players from
some of the biggest brands in the business. The radio broadcasting business
has a big stake in national and network
ad sales. C Space is a place where they
can do business and network."
"We are excited to see where 'voice' is
moving," he notes, alluding to voiceactivated devices. He says, "Amazon
and Google have a major presence at
CES and have partnered with other
brands. We love to see audio continue
to make strides." Jacobs says, "C Space
is a great example of how some of the
most important thought leaders in
technology come together to exchange
ideas. You get a lot of business accomplished at C Space."
