Residential grade tamper-resistant thermoplastic receptacle meets the 2008 NEC (National
Electric Code) requirement. Shutter mechanism inside the receptacle blocks access to
the contacts unless a 2-prong plug is inserted, helping to ensure hairpins, keys, and other
similar objects will be locked out. Quickwire push-in or side wired terminals. Heavy-duty
construction offers long, trouble-free service life. CSA (Canadian Standards Association)
certified for tamper-resistant devices.

Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) Duplex Receptacles

These receptacles feature Safelock™ protection, which ensures that if critical
components are damaged and ground fault protection is lost, power to the receptacle is
automatically disconnected. If the red trip-indicating light is on, the power at the GFCI is
off. If the unit is mis-wired, GFCI will trip and will not reset until the unit is wired correctly.
Made of high-impact thermoplastic. 20 amp feed through capacity.
