TRAP PRIMER VALVES
PPP Inc. Prime-Rite Trap Primer Valve
This innovative trap priming system automatically primes up to four floor drain traps using our patented
water distribution system. The Prime-Rite requires no adjustments but must be installed on a cold fresh
water line of 1-1/2 " diameter or less. The priming valve is automatically activated when it senses a
pressure of drop of 5 to 10 PSIG. Operating range: 35 to 75 PSIG.

Quad Close Barrier Type Trap Seal Device
The Quad Close Barrier Type Trap Seal Device creates a watertight seal inside the drain and/or throat
of the strainer. It will stay open when water is flowing into the floor drain. It will close when the water
stops flowing. When closed, the Quad Close prevents the emission of sewer gas, minimizes the
evaporation of water in the trap, and helps prevent backup into a building.
The Quad Close is made of a chemically resistant elastomer that is durable and reliable. The
elastomeric material in the Quad Close is 2 to 4 times thicker than similar products. It is less vulnerable
to UV, chemicals, cuts and tears.
Advantages
* An alternative method of protecting the floor drain seals.
* Tested and meets or surpasses many of the requirements for ASSE 1072.
* Reduces the frequency needed for the periodic admission of water into the floor drains trap to
maintain a seal.
* Easily removed for inspection and cleaning.
* Prevent the emission of sewer gases into a living or work area.
* Minimize and/or prevent the evaporation of the trap seal water through the drain.
* Hold up to 10.00 " of back pressure and can help prevent back flow.
* Will close completely with a very small amount of back pressure.
* Can be specified for use in drains installed in areas of infrequent use
* The Quad Close compliments floor drains that have been specified with a trap primer connection.
* Thicker and more durable than other trap seals, as such is less vulnerable to UV, chemicals, cuts and
tears.
* Designed to fit inside 2 " , 3 " , and 4 " PVC and cast iron pipe

* The 3-1/2 " size is designed to fit inside the throat of the adjustable strainer head on a shower drain.
* Works in the retrofitting of existing drains.

Flood-Guard
Flood-Guard operates like a check valve to seal off water back-up caused by overloaded sewers. Water
flows normally through the drain until the sewer begins to back up. Then the Flood-Guard float rises to
seal off the drain opening until the water recedes.
A screwdriver and a couple of minutes are all you need to install a Flood- Guard. Once in place, it can
prevent property damage and a very messy clean-up job.
Gaskets are made of molded rubber, and all metal parts are plated or stainless steel.
