Protecting yourself from the sun is serious business—and the lighter your skin, the greater your risk for melanoma. in fact, whites are at 10 times greater risk than africanamericans, and having fair skin, freckles, or red or blond hair further increases your chances, according to the american Cancer society. Whatever your skin tone, here are ways to cut your melanoma risk:
