While adults relish the chance to sleep, kids tend to view bedtime as the enemy. after all, being quiet and lying still aren’t fun activities for children. Instead of using the old “because I said so” standby, help your kids learn why their body needs sleep. tell them sleep gives their brain a rest. Without 10 to 11 hours of sleep a night, they may have problems thinking and playing well (including board games and baseball). Remind them that every living creature needs sleep—from the family dog to lions and tigers and bears. In fact, a lion will sleep for as much as 20 hours a day!
