FROM THE CEO Honoring Those Who Care for You entral Carolina Hospital’s Employee of the Month program was established to recognize the outstanding employees who contribute to our hospital in countless ways. It is through their quality work, strong dedication to patients, physicians and staff, and commitment to continuous improvement that we enhance our customer service and teamwork skills every day. I’m really proud to share with you our 2010 Employees of the Month, shown on our back cover. These 12 recipients have exemplified the high level of quality care we strive to provide to each and every one of our patients. Some of these people were nominated by their supervisors based on letters we received from patients, praising the extra steps that were taken to ensure their care was as seamless as possible. Others were recognized for their behind-the-scenes responsibilities that ensure other departments function efficiently and without interruption. Words used to describe these individuals were very similar: dedicated, personal commitment, compassion, selflessness, enthusiastic, and utmost attention to detail. But it all comes down to this: These individuals enable Central Carolina Hospital to maintain the standard of excellence you expect from a hospital that is committed to being your hospital. I’d like to take a moment to personally thank these employees for their hard work and support. Sincerely, C Doug Doris, CEO Central Carolina Hospital MEET A HERO The Hero Award is the highest honor an employee at Central Carolina Hospital can receive.
