Proud to
Serve You
This spring, I was honored to join the caring and dedicated staff
at Central Carolina Hospital. Every day, we serve the Lee County
community by responding to 911 emergency calls, operating a
24/7 emergency room and offering a broad array of healthcare
resources, which include lab and diagnostic services, primary
care, wellness programs and more.
As we welcome summer with this issue, we are delighted to
share stories that will help you make smart decisions about
your health.
Our cover story features Moncure resident Dana Jeffries,
who delivered a healthy baby prematurely via an emergency
cesarean section at CCH. Read how our pediatric hospitalists
cared for the baby at birth. Next, you'll meet Gina Eaves,
whose mysterious abdominal pain turned out to be a kidney
stone. Finally, you'll learn how a CCH surgeon helped Brandi
Shackelford, whose umbilical hernia was growing larger and
increasingly uncomfortable.
Visit CCH for our early detection, wellness, primary care and outpatient services, or depend
on us to be there for you if an emergency arises for you or your family. We are here and proud to
serve you.
Sincerely,
David Loving, CEO
Central Carolina Hospital
