Central Carolina HEALTH - Winter 2015 - (Page 2)

Direct from David A Partnership with the Community Here at Central Carolina Hospital, we are striving to improve the health of our community. We are working hard every day to achieve this goal through our wellness education and outreach programs. We consider these programs a partnership with you, and we take patient care very seriously. Our cover story features Randall Gattis, a Sanford Contractors employee who participated in one of our corporate wellness programs. Randall didn't think he had any health issues, but he signed up to set a good example for other employees. The screening gave him a big surprise, and he is now on a track to better health. Next, you'll read two stories that can help you care for your cardiovascular system. "One Week to a Happier Heart" gives tips for your workweek, while "Stay in Circulation" explains how vascular disease can affect your entire body. Last, we tell the story of a family who benefited from our ER Express service. Melinda Simpson knew her daughter needed to see a doctor, but it was after hours on a weekend. She used ER Express to register Emma online. When she arrived at CCH, Emma didn't have to sit for long in the waiting room. Now more than ever, we're here to serve our patients throughout their lifetimes-no matter the health challenge. We hope you'll enjoy this issue and learn new health habits that can help you and your family flourish. We want to be your hospital of choice. Sincerely, David Loving, CEO Central Carolina Hospital 2| WINTER 2015
