CONTRIBUTORS Gentl & Hyers GENTL & HYERS (ANDREA GENTL AND MARTIN HYERS) is a New York–based photography team who met while studying photography at Parson’s School of Design. They have been working together since 1993, photographing still life, food, beauty, fashion and travel for a wide array of editorial and advertising clients. In addition to their commercial work, Hyers is currently involved in an ongoing personal photography project with fellow photographer William Mebane. Their work can be seen at HyersandMebane.com. Gentl is often shooting foragers, locavores and other things of interest and inspiration for her blog Hungryghostfoodandtravel.com. They photographed “Go Fish” on page 62 and live in downtown Manhattan with their two children, Sam and Lula. Tanvi Chheda Logan Ward Yadid Levy FORMERLY AN EDITOR AT TRAVEL + LEISURE, TANVI CHHEDA (“The Art of Travel,” page 38) writes about travel for The New York Times’ T magazine, The Wall Street Journal, Departures, AFAR and Delta Sky, among others. Born in Bombay and raised in New York, Chheda now calls Los Angeles home and loves frequenting farmers’ markets and exploring the coastline with her 2-year-old daughter. WRITER LOGAN WARD (“Rediscovering Cusco,” page 54) has written for many magazines, including The Atlantic, Smithsonian, Garden & Gun and Popular Mechanics. He is the author of See You in a Hundred Years, an account of his family’s adventures living as 1900-era dirt farmers. His next book is the true story of an American who builds a flying car to help the Amazonian Indians that killed his father. Logan lives with his family in Virginia. A PHOTOGRAPHER BASED IN BUENOS AIRES AND TEL AVIV, YADID LEVY (“Rediscovering Cusco,” page 54) spends four or five months out of every year traveling. He has visited around 80 countries so far. Levy has shot stories for many leading travel publications such as Travel & Leisure, Conde Nast Traveler, NG Traveler, Endless Vacations, Lonely Planet Traveller and The Sunday Times Travel Magazine, among others.
