A WINNING TRIAL
Participating in a clinical trial
could save your life—and that of
others.
Summer’s ended and it’s back-to-school time.
We’ve spent the summer settling into our new
name and hope you have, too. We are looking forward to offering you greater access
to health services at University of Maryland
Medical Center Midtown Campus (UMMC
Midtown Campus), formerly Maryland General Hospital, from our partners, the University
of Maryland Medical Center. These services
are complementing the care and programs being provided by our core
group of high-quality and committed private physicians.
In the meantime, we have some exciting news to share. UMMC
Midtown Campus is the recipient of the Delmarva Foundation 2013
Quality Excellence Award for the second consecutive year!
The award honors individual hospitals that excel in patient safety and
quality improvement. To receive the award, the hospital must meet specific performance improvement criteria on 14 measures in four national
inpatient clinical areas: acute myocardial infarction (heart attack), heart
failure, surgical care improvement and pneumonia.
We are committed to providing the highest quality of care to our
patients and are truly honored to be recognized for our efforts. Thank
you for choosing UMMC Midtown Campus as your healthcare center.
