‘WE GIVE
PARENTS HOPE’
The University of Maryland Center
for Advanced Fetal Care is unmatched for developing treatment
options for expectant parents.
Welcome to the first issue of Maryland’s
Health Matters under Maryland General Hospital’s new name—University of Maryland
Medical Center (UMMC) Midtown Campus!
UMMC has extended its services and
clinical programs all the way to Linden
Avenue. Now you can receive universitybased care at two locations: UMMC or
UMMC Midtown Campus. With the same
mission for patient care, together, we’ve committed to improving the
health and well-being of Marylanders.
Over the next year, we’ll be expanding various programs from
UMMC to UMMC Midtown Campus and have been preparing for
this change for some time. Currently, we have many programs run by
University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM) faculty, such as
emergency medicine, intensive care, internal medicine, the Maryland
Vascular Center, the Maryland Wound Healing Center and ophthalmology. UMSOM faculty will practice alongside our talented and dedicated
private physicians to provide high-quality, compassionate patient care.
Thank you for allowing Maryland General Hospital to care for you
and your families for more than 130 years. We hope that you will
join us as we embark on this new journey as University of Maryland
Medical Center Midtown Campus.
